With three kids in elementary school, my wife Maryann and I weren't planning to add me running for City Council to our plate. But we're in a historic moment for Tulsa in which the decisions we make now will have an impact for generations to come, and I believe that the people of District 9 deserve a City Councilor who will stand up for them every single time.
We need proactive leaders who will choose to prioritize the health, welfare, and quality of life of the people they serve.
Utility bills are going up twice.
PSO is seeking a ~$25/month increase. City utility rates are rising another ~$5.82/month under FY27. One of those is a council vote.
A Concrete Decision
The data center moratorium expires December 31.
The council seated after this election writes the zoning rules. Whoever wins District 9 casts that vote. Ben has published exactly where he stands.
